Cyber Defence Dice is about teaching how cyber defences and attacks interact, which one trumps or tests which? It does so using a set of 6-sided dice, 5 dice per team.

The first game mode, match mode: players/teams pick a side, attacker or defender, then the aim is to match against an attack or defence thrown by the opening side, by responding with a compatible defence or attack. A quick reference for this game mode is included with the base game.

The second mode, combinations, is a variant of Poker dice, where players seek pairs, three of a kind etc., highest value set wins. Be aware that this game mode requires the full handbook (available online) for reference.

The third mode, attack matcher, has the attacker roll first, up to three times. The defender, to counter the attacks, can then take up to the same attempts. The attack is countered if the defender has a matching defence die for each attack. Be aware that this game mode also requires the full handbook for reference.
