An abstract strategy game where two players are using their dice, shields and master to capture each other's pieces. Whoever captures the opponent's master wins.

Components

Board with 9 x 9 grid
8 dice for each player
2 shields for each player
1 master for each player

To set up, each player chooses a colour and takes the components of that colour. On the row closest to each player, they will place their dice and master in the following configuration from left to right: 1 2 5 6 M 6 5 2 1

Each die should be oriented so that the 4 is facing your opponent and the 3 is facing yourself. The shields are placed on the second row, laying down in front of the 5/6.

On each turn, players move any one of their pieces as follows:

Dice move the amount of spaces visible on the top. They may not move horizontally, and may only make one right angle each move.
Master moves one space at a time, and does not move diagonally.
Shields move one space at a time. Since they take up 2 spaces, one space will remain the same during each move. Shields can be turned into soldiers by using a turn to stand it up to occupy one space. Once standing, it moves one space diagonally each turn. It can later be layed down to become a shield again only if it is not in check.

To capture a piece and remove it from the board, you must land directly on that piece. There is no jumping of pieces. To capture a shield, it requires 2 dice, one for each space the shield occupies. When both pieces are in place to capture the shield, only one piece moves and performs the capture.

Before capturing a master, you must announce to your opponent that their master is in "check". You may not move yourself into check position.

If your master reaches your opponent's first row, you get one of your dice back. Your master immediately returns to it's original position on the centre space of your first row and the regained piece is places on the square your master reached with a one on top and four facing you. If your opponent has a piece on your centre spot, you capture it when replacing your master.
