ContemPLATED is a dry erase deduction game about guessing worldly license plates. It is also a geography game as players learn about global ISO-2 country codes and country locations.

Components:
2+ Dry erase cards

2+ Dry erase secret holders
 

Setup:
Give each player a game card, secret holder and marker. Fold the secret holder such that the sides are at a 90-degree angle.
Decide upon which territory to start with, either:
Canada & USA or Worldly plates.
Decide upon the number of rounds to play: usually three.
With the secret holder facing them, each player secretly writes a Territory Code, Fragment and Number.
Each player then carefully passes their secret holder to an opposite player such that each player cannot see their own holder.
 

Game Play (Proceeds in Turns):
A player will ask a question.
The question will either be directed for all players to answer or one that requests an answer specific to that player only.
A player either attempts a guess at their own license plate - is my license [code+fragment+number?] or calls out one of the following questions for all players to answer:

Code is from Canada|Americas|Europe|Africa|Asia ?
Code is an island?

Will adding letter [x] to the code make a 3-letter word?
Will adding letter [x] to the fragment make a valid 4-letter word?

What is the sum of digits of the number?
What is the product of digits of the number?
What is the difference of digits of the number?

All players provide an answer to their opposite player.
Players record their specific answers on their card and mark clues accordingly.

Making Deductions
For each answer given, record your answer on your dry erase card. Ask questions strategically, remembering that most questions will require all players to reveal answers. Use processes of elimination and deductions to narrow down their assumptions, to formulate appropriate questions and finally attempt to guess their entire license plate.

Tracking Questions & Answers:
Keep track of all answers on your game board.

Making a Guess:
When ready, a player may ask a specific question related only to their license plate.

Winning:
The first person to correctly guess their plate will score 3 points; 2 points for the second person; 1 for the third person.
After playing the predetermined number of rounds, the winner will have the most points. In case of a tie, play again.
