While Rommel's Afrika Korps was capturing the attention of the world, its fate was being decided in the Mediterranean sea. No matter how brilliantly the Field Marshal and his troops performed, the struggle could not be won without the supplies and equipment necessary to fight.
Supermarina II, Larry Bond's Game: Command at Sea, portrays the apex of the struggle for naval supremacy in the Mediterranean, the vital supply link for both the Axis and Allied sides in North Africa.
This supplement provides scenarios for the second part of the Mediterranean War, from the Summer of 1941 through the Fall of 1942. It covers not only surface engagements, but air and submarine actions as well. The scenarios are grouped into
campaigns each representing a distinct phase of the war. This is vital in understanding why a particular battle occurred.
The individual engagements are all historical, or historical “near misses,” engagements that almost occurred. For those
who wish to explore alternative setups, variations are provided.
This version of Supermarina II is compatible with the Command at Sea 5th edition rules. Changes from the earlier version include different aircraft ranges, the addition of searchlights, as well as many smaller changes and corrections.
