Closer to the Pin is a lightweight print-and-play golf game that captures the pressure, recovery, and unpredictability of a round of golf without heavy simulation. Players work their way through individual holes using dice-driven shot quality and positional results, dealing with wind, rough, trees, sand, water, and the occasional disastrous shot before trying to finish on the green.

Each hole has its own personality through its layout and hazard pressure, while the same core system remains easy to follow from hole to hole. Wind establishes conditions for the entire hole, shots advance the golfer toward the green, hazards create recovery situations, and putting uses separate distance and direction rolls to determine whether the ball finally drops.

The result is a fast-playing “golf light” experience focused on recognizable golf moments—great drives, troublesome lies, recovery shots, birdie opportunities, and bogey trouble—rather than detailed yardage calculations or simulation-heavy mathematics.
