In Cirquarles players try to place 4 pieces with matching properties in a line.

Content of the game

24 pieces (12 unique pieces in two color)
1 game board

Setup

Each player has 12 unique pieces in either black or white. Each player arranges their pieces in 4 stacks in front of them close to the game board.

How to play
Players alternate turns starting with the player who controls the white pieces.
The winner is who placing 4 pieces with matching properties in a line.

Type of pieces
Each unique piece of a player, has three different properties:

size: small, medium or large
hole: square or circle

outside: square or circle

Players movement

On a player’s turn they can choose to place a new playing piece on the board, or
move a piece previously played to a new space on the board. (Players cannot remove pieces from the board once they have been played)

Which pieces can move
When a player moves pieces on the board, they may only move the outer most piece if it is their color. Pieces with an opponent’s piece surrounding it cannot be moved and are considered blocked.

Where pieces can move
Players can place their pieces to any empty field on the gameboard or
they can insert it in a hole if it is fit in the hole, or

they can put it to a smaller piece if it is fit on that.

Where pieces cannot move
If a piece is not fit in or on another piece on a field, then player cannot move it there.

Winning the game
The first player whose placing 4 pieces with matching properties in a line, will win the game.
