In Cardacombs, players use a standard deck of playing cards to build a sprawling dungeon of hidden traps, treasures, and maze guardians. In a solo game, you design the maze before leading your Heroes into it. In a two-player game, one player becomes the BBEG who constructs the maze, while the other commands the adventuring party trying to survive it.

Move between connected cards, revealing each room as you enter. Numbered cards are traps that defeat the Party Leader when their suits match, Jokers are deadly Maze Guardians, and Aces are the Treasures you seek. Most rooms turn face down again when you leave, rewarding players who remember dangerous routes as they explore branching corridors, backtrack through the maze, and adapt whenever a new Hero takes the lead.

The Heroes win by finding all four Treasures before all 12 Heroes are defeated. If the final Hero falls first, the maze wins, along with the devious BBEG who designed it.
