Breakaway társasjáték

Breakaway is played on a 6x6 grid of spaces connected (orthogonally and diagonally). Each player has seven pieces. At the start of the game one player places all the pieces on the board and then the other player decides which set they will use and whether they will go first or second.

A turn simply consists of moving one of the player's pieces along one of the lines, passing only over and into vacant spaces. However, the number of spaces to move is fixed: the first move in the game is one space, the second two spaces, the third three spaces, and then the cycle repeats. If a player cannot move they skip their turn but the move cycle continues.

The object of the game is to have none of your pieces adjacent to each other; the player who achieves this condition wins.
