Bantam West (1E) is a competitive open-world roleplaying board game for 2 to 4 players, putting you into the boots of a Deadly Stranger on the Lone Range. The outlaw town of Gallow Springs stands at the center of it all, where the Wetlands, Plains, Wilderness, and Mountains meet. It’s a land where ruthless dangers lurk in every shadow, but the promise of fame and fortune burns just as bright. You’ll harvest resources to craft powerful goods, acquire deadly weapons and gear, level your character’s skills and endeavors, navigate the terrain’s hazards, build cabins and recruit a posse to assert your influence, and watch for Events in town or across the terrain that might bring riches—or ruin. In the end, only one Deadly Stranger can become the Most Notorious!

1st Edition arrives as an update to the Kickstarter Edition of Bantam West, originally released in October 2023. Since its release, our team has scoured the internet to gather and analyze input from all players we could possibly find. Building on this foundation, Ike and the team refined the game into its most accessible, exciting, and replayable form yet—one that aligns more closely with his original vision than ever before. Hence, this definitive release earns the name 1st Edition.
