The information that BGG has on this item indicates that Auripolis is a non-authorized version of Catan.

A game designed by students and published to commemorate the 750th birthday of Igolstadt, Auripolis simulates the development of that city between the years 1250 and 2000. The game is notable because it was found to plagiarize Klaus Teuber's 'Settlers of Catan', and most of the copies produced were never sold.
