Dungeons of Tanares is a cooperative campaign dungeon crawler for 1–4 players. It is the third and final chapter of the Tanares trilogy.

An open world where you travel between quests. Instead of playing scenarios in a fixed order, your party explores an open campaign map, deciding which rumors to pursue, which crises to answer, and which places to leave behind. These decisions are persistent, not cosmetic. Routes can close. Locations may disappear. NPC allies can be recruited or lost forever. Later quests remember what you saved, what you ignored, and whom you chose to trust.

And those consequences follow you onto the battlefield.

Recruit NPC allies and learn their attacks. Each hero begins with two signature attacks. The allies your party earns during the campaign provide the other two, completing a four-attack arsenal shaped by your journey. Two groups may play the same hero yet develop entirely different tactical identities and combinations because they made different choices.

Enemies with their own agendas. Shifting Ungod influences alter enemy target priorities and the dangers of each round, while villains have unique attacks and abilities that make every encounter demand a different approach.

As the campaign unfolds, heroes gain new attacks, talents, equipment, amulets, and evolving consumable options. Your party ends the campaign nothing like it started.

Built for one player as much as four. The Comrade system was designed for smaller tables, and solo has been part of the design from the start rather than added at the end.

Dungeons of Tanares uses the Tanares system from two previous campaigns, now with individual attack progression for each hero, reworked villain behaviour/powers and an open world structure. The new rules are compatible with Tanares Adventures and Tanares: Rise of Dragons, so you can play the boxes you already own with the new rules.
