Introduction:
Anda (from Proto-Germanic: Anþą, which means "breath") is a drawless game for two players: Black and White. It is played at the intersections (points) of an initially empty hexagonal grid (board). The recommended board size is 9 points per side, but smaller boards can be used for shorter games. Each player has access to a sufficient supply of stones of their own color.

Definitions:
– A group is a set of connected stones of the same color among themselves. A stone is also a group.
– A liberty is an empty point adjacent to a group and is said to be obstructed by enemy groups that access it via unbroken paths of n empty points (where n can be zero).
– A smothered group is a group whose liberties are obstructed by one, and only one enemy group, not two or more.
– A territory is one or more empty points connected to each other. You own a territory if all the stones connected to it are your color.

Turns:
Black plays first, then turns alternate. On your turn, do one of the following actions:

– Place a stone of your color in an empty point where it is not smothered. If it's your first turn, do it twice on non-adjacent empty points. Then remove all smothered friendly and enemy groups from the board.
– Pass your turn.

End of the game:
The game ends when neither player can place stones on the board or when both players pass their turns consecutively. At the end of the game, points will count by adding up friendly territory and captured enemy stones, as well as awarding half a point to the player who passes their turn first.

The player with the highest score in the final position wins.

To make the game fair, before it starts, the first player chooses a whole number as the komi value, and then the second player chooses the sides. This balancing method is called komi pie.
