In Alpino you draft and place domino-style tiles, competing to make the most spacious habitats for each of the alpine animals. They will only inhabit the largest habitat made for them among all the players, and If you manage to make that, then you alone will get to score ALL of the accumulated points for that animal type at the end of the game!

Gameplay
In each round, all players draft and place a tile. The objective is grouping the animals together, however, you use the color/territories (not the animals) to link your growing habitats together, making the choice of placement anything but trivial. It’s also important to consider which tiles you leave on the table, as the last tile is also being added as a point to one of the animal types by choice of the last player.

You'll be given your very own secret tile at the start of the game, so you'll know at least two animal types you can focus on from the beginning. Try and see if you can get the other players to increase the points for “your” animal types, while you try - not too obvious - to make a good sized habitat for them to win them at the end of the game.

In the last round of the game you'll place your secret tile, and surprise everyone with your smart plan - or will you?
