7ERAS is a strategy card game for 2 to 6 players across seven eras of civilization, from the Stone Age to the distant future. You build your civilization from Society, Science and Empire cards. Players move through the eras at their own pace.

A turn has four phases: build, Trade or War, draw, next era. Civilization cards cost war and trade resource cards. Key technologies can be built anytime, even on other players' turns. Key characters such as Buddha, Isaac Newton or Albert Einstein give one-time boosts, for example doubling your resources in a war or building phase. Three different civilization cards (Society, Science, Empire) complete an era, worth 3 points if their labels share one colour. Three key technologies (two in a two-player duel) also complete an era, with no colour bonus.

In war, attackers use war cards. Defenders use war and trade cards and win ties. A winning attacker destroys the defender's unfinished era and takes its key technologies. Cataclysms and doomsdays can be neutralised by a condition on the card. Otherwise a cataclysm destroys the civilization cards of your current era (your technologies stay), and a doomsday wipes your current and previous eras, technologies included, and sends you back one era. Kept cataclysms score 1 point at the end, doomsdays 3. The game ends when a player builds the last era or collects that era's three key technologies (two in a duel). That player scores 6 points. Most points wins.

The box holds 358 cards. The 95 cards marked 5+ are an add-on for 5 to 6 players and for adults (18+). With the other 263 cards, 2 to 4 players can play from age 9. All 7ERAS artwork (cards, box, video, slides) is human-made, illustrated by the game's artists in 2020–2021. No AI-generated art in the game.
